Don't loose our next workshop "Mardi Gras " January 17 to 24; 2005

We just came back from our last workshop in Cuetzalan 2007. We arrive full of nice experiences, tons of images, and of course new friends.

This year the weather was the responsible for the surprises, we did not have rain at all, on the contrary we have beautiful sunny days; against all odds if we think that in that region the fog and the soft rain is the normal weather, and if we add all the hurricanes around us this year, we expected more rain, but for our pleasure we enjoy the beauty of the sun.

I suspect that this surprise was specially good for our Canadians participants but everybody was delighted with this, however I missed the strange and romantic light that came with the fog invading all the streets of this beautiful town but the opportunity to take great pictures was at every moment.

Other new fact that reflect the times we're living is that for the first time no one use film cameras, now everybody are digital, so our after dinner reunions was even more funniest reviewing the day’s work and as regularly seen some great pictures. This fact, all digital photographers, gives a lot more importance to our “theory” classes that in an informal way take place all nights with enthusiastic response that let us working after hours working with digital tools like the new “Adobe Lightroom”.

This 2007 our last workshop programmed in Oaxaca for November would hardly takes place because the political situation there, so if you are thinking in join us, please contact us to see if there are chances to go.

Thanks to all our participants and to our staff that works hard and of course we wait for your pictures to publish in our Gallery section.

Until the next time. We hope to see you soon in Mexico!

I took this workshop 3 weeks after the tragic terrorist events in the USA. Being with the indigenous people in the spectacular sierra mountains of Puebla was incredible therapy; I still find myself daydreaming about the memorable experience. I felt as if I were traveling with close friends and the guides were so helpful and knowledgeable. In one week, I discovered so much about photography, the fascinating Mexican culture and even a great deal about myself. I can hardly wait for my next adventure with "The Secret Mexico."

I'd like to express to you and your staff how much I enjoyed myself at this year's workshop. Each and every moment spent on our adventure was pure enjoyment. When I arrived in Mexico City everything was new and interesting. Visiting the old towns was truly delightful. The Mexican people were so hospitable and welcoming adding to my enjoyment. The old, the young and the beautiful; what perfect subjects for learning about photography. The magnificent old churches and buildings were yet another source of great fascination for me. There was an abundance of new and fresh images in every direction waiting to be captured with our cameras. Also, I really enjoyed the fact that during our travels we could stop at any time, at any location, at anyone's request to photograph a worthwhile subject. Each time we stopped and examined a scene it proved to be a rich, exciting, new photographic adventure. Last but not least, the members of our group were fantastic. Each member was compatible, helpful and fun, Not only did the instructors help me but the other students were helpful in everything from ordering food to shopping assitance.Than ks again for all your help and I look forward to seeing you again for another workshop.

Your new amigo,

This is a message for all the people that love photography (like I do). You cannot miss this!!! It«s incredible!!! It is just wonderful to have the opportunity to know all the hidden places, full of colors, sounds, smells, traditions, textures, that you just can«t imagine they exist, people that live in a completely different world than we do. Any where you turn your head, and there is a picture! And the way you learn to SEE things, the approach you learn to have at all these beautiful things, landscapes, architecture, people etc. is very notorious, little by little you can see how really your pictures improve, because the tutors are really aware of you and your work. I would like to thank the tutors for giving me the opportunity to get into a different world that is just there and we never see, some kilometers away from us, and that is almost extinct and hard to find. I think these kind of experiences are able to open our EYES, and our souls, if you like photography, this workshop can make you combine this two abilities and begin to say something through your pictures!   I would have to say it was an incredible and gratifying experience because of all the activities we had and because of the beautiful nature and typical urban view of the first civilizations established there. It was very interesting and exciting seeing all this. On the other hand it was great how the whole team got along, both, professors and students. I think we all made a very nice friendship. I think the tree professors, Carlos, Pablo and Gerardo are very professional, since I knew nothing about taking pictures and at the end I really learned about it and about the wonderful things I can do with a camera. I got really satisfying and pretty pictures. I would really enjoy going again and I really recommend you to go. Thank you for a so nice experience!
